James McGowan (he/him) is a New York City-based voice actor, director and audio engineer.

James followed the volunteer work he performed while studying biochemistry to a career in Talking Book production at JBI International. James has served as the narrator for several books, including "The Travel Diaries of Albert Einstein: The Far East, Palestine, and Spain, 1922–1923", "Finding Meaning in an Imperfect World" by Iddo Landau, and "People of the Book: A Decade of Jewish Science Fiction & Fantasy" (James' favorite is a toss-up between this and Einstein). James has also served as the director and engineer for Ian Strasfogel's "Operaland", and as the director for dozens of books and articles recorded at JBI International. On the weekends, James can be found singing in his local church choir (or playing bass, as needed). If you have a question about audio tech and are in the mood for a probably-too-long answer, or you have any other inquiries, James can be reached at james.mcgowan@rockaway.net.
