He has studied acting since middle school and received a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Performance from Whittier College in 2011. His credits include Rev. John Hale (The Crucible), Officer Lockstock (Urinetown), and Oberon/Theseus (A Midsummer Night's Dream). He was twice nominated for the Irene Ryan Award from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival for his roles as Mark Cohen (RENT) and Scapin (Scapin). Following college, Max studied Commercial Acting in Hollywood and performed with The Enceladus Theater Company as Douglas Paunch (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and Bottom (A Midsummer Night's Dream).

After several years pursuing on-camera and stage roles, Max turned his attention to utilizing his voice for commercial, e-learning, and character voice work. He has studied with such industry pros as Marc Cashman, D'Arcy Smith, Ellie-Ray Hennessey, and Katie Zeiner. He was lucky enough to connect with his counterparts Lindsay and Tyler in founding the LTM Voices voiceover community, and remains dedicated to helping voice actors find low-cost or free resources to continue their Voice Over journey.
